Debt Capital Markets Analyst

Position Summary: Analyst with a primary focus on assisting in the origination and execution of debt related transactions for Japanese corporates/ financial institutions. Main product range includes USD/EUR denominated senior bonds/capital securities and Samurai bonds.

Key Responsibilities covered by these areas:

  • Supporting day-to-day project execution and origination
  • Assisting in the preparation of presentation materials, including debt market update, pitch materials, pricing information and case studies
  • Interacting with client at junior levels
  • Liaising with other internal and external parties on transactions (eg. sector investment bankers, debt syndicates, fixed income sales force, lawyers, compliance, accountants, other banks etc)

Corporate Investment Associate

Position Summary: This role sits within the front office and will be working in a dynamic and busy trading floor environment. You will help senior traders cover institutional accounts and make markets in your group’s particular range of products.

You will assist the senior traders in managing risk, liquidity and exposure and you may support all aspects of the trading desk: pre-trade analysis, research on index constituent changes, inbound and outbound trade processing and the design of optimal strategies for large trades. Tracking supply and demand, you constantly evaluate market developments in order to give clients accurate product information.

  • Assist with the post-trade process by ensuring the accuracy of all entries and to ensure internal controls are followed
  • Proactively share information, knowledge and ideas that help others succeed
  • Independently resolve P&L reconciliation on issues

Senior Asset Management, Fixed Income Manager

Position Summary: Given our broad range of Fixed Income capabilities and growing interests in Fixed Income products from institutional investors in Japan, the Global Fixed Income, Currency & Commodities Group is currently seeking a Fixed Income Client Portfolio Manager to support Japanese fixed income businesses.

The focus of this role is to support the expansion of the Fixed Income businesses and to grow the assets under management from Japanese clients.

The candidate will work with Japanese Client Advisor teams/Funds distribution team and various client types that include banks, insurance companies, pension funds, corporations as well as retail fund distributors.

Responsibilities will include direct contact with existing clients, presentations to internal partners and clients/prospects on broad range of fixed income products and capabilities, handling regular quarterly review meetings with clients, responding to a variety of ad hoc requests from our clients and internal partners

  • 5+ years of experience in Fixed Income businesses from sell side or buy side (preferred)
  • Demonstrate solid knowledge of Global Fixed Income markets
  • Flexibility to work with variety of Portfolio Managers and Clients
  • Strong verbal and written communication and presentation skills in Japanese
  • English written and verbal skills to communicate with Global Team Members
